QMU students to present results of study

Some Branch members were involved with the research project carried out by Queen Margaret College students recently under the supervision of Jane Hislop and Gillian Baer. The aim of the study was to look at how people with Parkinson’s regarded exercise and how they might be encouraged to get involved with it more frequently.

They now plan to present their conclusions at the next Drop In on Friday, 3rd May, 2-4pm. The venue is as usual  Pollock Pavilion, 227 Ferry Road, EH6 4SP. The title of the presentations will be

  •  Experiences and views of a group exercise class for people with Parkinson’s Disease.
  • Findings from a questionnaire exploring barriers to and facilitators of exercise for people with Parkinson’s Disease.
