Young Parkinson’s Group Meeting 7th April

The next Edinburgh Young Parkinson’s Support Group (EYPSG) meeting is Thursday 7th April.

Meetings take place at 6.30 for 7pm, at The Steading,  118/120 Biggar Road, Edinburgh. The meeting takes place in the Conservatory at the rear of the building.

This meeting, the group have been lucky enough to arrange for a guest speaker: Angie Disney.

Talk will start at 7pm sharp. If you want to go earlier and have some dinner, the Steading has quite an impressive menu.

Here is a short intro to Angie and the foundation of what she will talk about:

Angie Disney: Recovery Coach & Emotional Health & Well-being Coach.

“A friendly Australian, I became a professional teacher.

With a love for travel and different cultures, I then spent 20 years living and working on the Island of Mallorca, Spain.

It was here that my life situation changed even more dramatically, as I became consumed by alcohol, addicted, losing almost everything along the way. Homeless for 6 years and living in between temporary accommodation and hostels, my addiction grew and I spent these years feeling lost, lonely and vulnerable. To this day, my decision to say YES to recovery and sobriety, is the best YES I have ever made, so far”.

A very interesting and inspiring story it will be.  After Angie’s presentation we are confident she will answer any questions.

Anyone who wants to go along please contact Scott Wilson (078358 20898), and let him know, so he knows the best way to set up the room, based on numbers attending.

If you are going along, could you please take a lateral flow test the day before.  While not compulsory it would give anyone a safety net who feels vulnerable. So thank you in advance for your support with this.
