Scottish Government: New Benefit – Carers Needed for Research

The Scottish Government are working on a new benefit, Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP), which will replace Attendance Allowance in Scotland.

They would very much like to speak to people with caring responsibilities for people of pension age in Scotland. This will help them make sure the service meets the needs of the people who will use it.

They are now looking to expand their research.  Every research participant will receive a £40 Love2Shop voucher that can be can used in high street and online stores.

Note: They don’t need people to be claiming benefits to take part in their research. As long as you have caring responsibilities for someone of pension age, you can take the survey

About the research
Each session will be 60 minutes long and will either take place remotely or in person if feasible.  They can also schedule shorter sessions if 60 minutes would be too long.
They aim to try and make taking part as easy as possible so if there’s anything else you might need, they can try to accommodate.  They are also more than happy to chat further if there are any questions.  You can contact the researchers working on Pension Age Disability Payment at the Scottish Government at socialsecurity.userresearch@gov.scot
