Parkinson’s Nurses: Update

Alison Stewart emailed us on 1st March to confirm that the Parkinson’s Nurses are now back from their time working on the wards, as part of the NHS effort to cope with Coronavirus in the Lothians.

The Nurses have been examining the clinics that they had put on hold.  They have confirmed they are going to do their best to catch up before the end of March.

They will be offering a limited number of Face to Face (F2F) consultations depending on clinical need, as they were before they were put on ward placement. All other consultations will be telephone or video (you will be told in advance if you are to be offered F2F or telephone/video consultation).

Allison confirms the Nurses phone patients to prompt about clinic appointments, so you will be told in advance if you are to be offered F2F or telephone/video consultations.

Allison is going to be talking at our Branch Blether on Thursday 1st April 2021, which starts at 11am.  We hope perhaps one of the other Nurses will also join us.  It is believed Allison is going to bring us news about new Parkinson’s Nurses, and with luck we might get introduced to them!

So please do please join us.  The Zoom details to join are: https://zoom.us/j/8757219637
