In October 2018 Edinburgh Branch Singing4Fun were announced as winners of the competition in the category original lyrics AND original music (the other category being lyrics to an existing melody). Our song was created ;by a truly collaborative effort from a number of our singers under the inspiration and guidance of our Tuesday session song leader, Penny Stone. We were very last minute in submitting the entry so relied on Penny to create the recording with her singing the harmonies together with piano accompaniment (a requirement was to have piano or guitar accompaniment). The song will be sung at the Congress in Kyoto in June 2019 by the Congress choir. You can hear our winning entry at this WPC 2019 link.
