Volunteering Matters

Join an enthusiastic team of volunteers working to make a real difference to the lives of people with Parkinson’s and their families in Edinburgh and Midlothian by providing friendship, information, activities and general support to those concerned.

If you are interested in a volunteering role, we can offer a variety of flexible volunteer experiences as we continue to develop our support to the Parkinson’s community. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, everyone has something to offer and we always try to identify a specific role or area of responsibility for new volunteers.

Spotlight Vacancy

We would like to potentially reintroduce a coffee morning, combined with stalls and perhaps some entertainment.  If this is something you have organised before and could offer your expertise and guidance, we would love to hear from you.  Please contact: Anne (annec@edinburghparkinsons.org)

Why volunteer?

Research has shown that volunteering can be good for you! It provides the opportunity to make a positive contribution to your community while meeting people and making new friends. You may have existing skills you can put to good use or you may want to challenge yourself and discover hidden talents.

Here’s what some of our volunteers have to say.
