Young Parkinson’s Group Meeting: 1st June

The next Edinburgh Young Parkinson’s Support Group (EYPSG) meeting is on Thursday 1st June.

  • Venue: The Steading, Biggar Road
  • Time: 6.30 for 7.00pm start
  • Guest: James Jopling, Scotland Director for Parkinson’s UK

James is coming along to tell the group about his role with P-UK and what Scotland PD is hoping to achieve in the next few years.  James is also keen to get to know more about the YP group, and what their aims are for the future. James has got 28 years of experience working with various charities so should be an interesting introduction for all those who haven’t met him or heard him speak at the ‘main’ Branch meetings.

The YP group welcome new members, and look forward to a good turnout and on Thursday.  So even if you haven’t been before, please feel free to go along.

Please try and be at Steading for 7pm sharp and if you like, you can come earlier and have a bite to eat and a drink from The Steading’s lovely reasonably priced menu Quite a few of the group do this.

You are welcome to bring along family, friend, or partner if you want.

You can find more information from EYPSG Chair Scott Wilson.  You can email Scott at scottwils180@gmail.com or phone 07835 820898 (during office hours).

For anyone newly diagnosed this would be a great first step towards getting support and asking
any questions you and your partner or family may have about Parkinson’s.

The ‘YPs’ are a pretty relaxed and informal group and welcome new faces. You are very welcome to
bring along your partner or a friend if you like. Some of the group meet at the Steading around
6pm to have a bite to eat. Feel free to go early and get some dinner and meet some of the group.
