The Women’s Parkinson’s Project

The Women’s Parkinson’s Project (WPP) was started to raise the voices of women for better treatment, and research for women with Parkinson’s disease.

Advocacy

Sharing stories is an instinctual part of what we do and how we connect. Sharing our stories means raising our voices.

Community

Building a network of women who understand one another and can support one another is vital.

Self-Care

Taking time for ourselves is the quickest way to maintaining a healthy life with Parkinson’s”.

WPP produce a Newsletter, which going forward is to be produced on a quarterly basis


World Parkinson’s Congress (WPC)

The three co-founders of WPP are attending, speaking and participating in panels at the WPC, in Barcelona in 2023.

Recognising there are many impediments to going, one of which may be financial, WPP confirm travel grants are available.

Parkinson’s Tulip Project.

This project is hosted by the World Parkinson Coalition and is designed to bring the Parkinson’s community together through photographic images of people in the Parkinson’s community with tulips.  Did you know the tulip is the official Parkinson’s flower?
