Swimming and Edinburgh Leisure Card Scheme

Edinburgh Leisure are welcoming back the Community Access Programme (CAP).  We had been offering this in relation to Swimming.

Edinburgh Leisure are working to reopen venues and services as quickly as possible, following the coronavirus guidance produced by the Scottish Government and SportScotland.

They are still in the early stages of re-opening, with many facilities still closed and many Edinburgh Leisure staff still on furlough. However, they are exploring all the different aspects of welcoming people back to use our services safely.

A summary of the important points of note for the Community Access Programme following reopening are:

  • Edinburgh Leisure are only able to accommodate individual customer visits to our facilities, and all visits must be booked and paid for in advance using our online booking system.

  • Individual CAP cards: Any individual CAP cards that were due to expire between the 1st of March 2020 and 31st of December 2020 have been extended to the 31st of March 2021.

  • Individual CAP card referrals: There is currently a freeze on new individual CAP card referrals until the backlog of applications received from pre and during coronavirus restrictions has been cleared. Further communications about the reopening of referrals will be sent when appropriate.

There is a document  which provides further information about the changes to CAP alongside information on accessing Edinburgh Leisure facilities following reopening.
