Survey on PD and Animal Assisted Interventions

Lisa Skandali is an MSc graduate of Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.  She is interested in doing research on the subject of service dogs for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).

Lisa asked us to share a link to her survey, in the hope some individuals with Parkinson’s, Lewy Body Dementia, and their caregivers might undertake her survey.  Lisa’s goal is to look for funding that will allow her to investigate the long term effects of service dogs on patients with PD and LBD and their caregivers.   The survey is designed for patients and caregivers in order to establish a preliminary level of interest in the field.   The hope is that the results of this initial survey will support her research proposal when Lisa starts applying for funding.

In order to participate, you do not need to have a service dog to complete the survey.

Participation is confidential, individual responses will remain anonymous.

Lisa also provided a pdf flyer with more information about herself and about service dogs.
