St Monans Festival 2025 takes place on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September. The festival has a focus on Arts, Crafts, Music and Fun.
Carol Wright was diagnosed a year and a half ago with Parkinson’s. She confirms “doing my art is becoming a tad more challenging but I still get lots of enjoyment out of it. Straight lines are tricky … but I’m sure I will develop a more abstract style in the years ahead!”
The festival has activities and events in a few locations in St Monans. In the Town Hall there is an Art exhibition with a wide range of art on display. There is also a Photography Exhibition – and competition. And there are workshops.
There are also Open Houses where local artists like Carol show their work in their studios and homes. Carol is Open House ‘K’.

According to Google Maps, its about 48 miles from Edinburgh City Centre. The East Neuk of Fife is picturesque with some lovely villages and a spectacular coastline. Sounds like a great way to spend a weekend – and close enough just for a day trip.
