This month, Belinda Graham-Marr, Parkinson’s Local Adviser, is joining the meeting to introduce the Local Adviser service and what they can offer to people with Parkinson’s. She will also cover the wider reach of the charity, as well as her background and how she found herself working with Parkinson’s UK. There will be time afterwards for a question and answer session with Belinda following her presentation.

This friendly and inclusive group is designed especially for individuals affected by Parkinson’s who may find it challenging to attend in-person support groups or who live in rural areas. You’re welcome to join with your camera on or off, whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

The Remote & Rural Group Volunteers, and Lyndsay Taylor the Community Support Officer for Parkinson’s UK Scotland are always excited to welcome new members, so please if you are in a rural part of Edinburgh or the Lothians, or have mobility issues and find it hard to go to in-person meetings, this type of meeting is ideal for you. Please do give it a go.

These meeting take place on the third Tuesday of each month.
