Participants needed: game-based exercise and rehabilitation

We were sent information from Parkinson’s UK who had been approached by a research student from University of Auckland.  As we know many Branch members are keen to help researchers, we will share the information and request for participants below:


We have an opportunity for people with and without Parkinson’s to take part in some research looking at physical exercise and games.

Game-based Exercise Project

Aslihan Tece Bayrak, a PhD student at the University of Auckland, is investigating how game-based rehabilitation and gameplaying may benefit people with Parkinson’s.

The aim of the research is to understand peoples perspectives on how games and gameplaying can meaningfully contribute to alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life through linking with physical exercise.

Who do the researchers need?
As many people over 45 years old as possible, who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and other long term conditions.

What’s involved?
You’ll be invited to complete a one-off online survey that takes approximately 20 minutes.
