Opportunity to participate in a study on Physical Activity

Louise Morris, a 3rd year medical student at the University of Edinburgh, is interested in speaking to People with Parkinson’s about their views on physical activity as part of a research project for her University course. There is increasing evidence of the importance of exercise in helping People with Parkinson’s to stay active and improve the management of their Parkinson’s.

Research aim:

To assess the perceptions of physical activity promotion in individuals with Parkinson’s and their relationship and views on physical activity, so as to improve Parkinson’s treatment and delay progression. For dissertation for BMedSci Physical Activity for Health at University of Edinburgh

Participant Criteria:

(i) 18+ year of age with Parkinson’s

(ii) with access to device with microphone & internet access, or with phone access

(iii) reside in UK and have sufficient English language skills (Louise is looking for participants UK wide)

What’s involved? : participants have to attend a one-off 1-to-1 interview of around 30 minutes at a mutually agreeable time via Microsoft Teams or phone (the interview will be recorded)
