This online ERIG meeting took place on Saturday 30 May 2026 at 10:00. The speaker was Dr Tanay Ghosh, a neuroscientist with more than 15 years’ experience studying how the brain develops, ages and changes in disease. He studies oligodendrocytes – the cells that produce myelin to help protect and support neurons in the brain. His recent research led to the discovery of an ancient RNA mechanism that plays an important role in myelin biology, opening new avenues for understanding brain health and neurological disease.
