Edinburgh Marathon Festival Sunday 28th May

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is taking place at the end of May with the half marathon and the marathon being run on Sunday 28th May.

Parkinson’s UK’s events team will have a stand in the Charities Village at the finishing line to welcome those who will be running to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.

We hope that some members of the Branch will go along and join the events team and help spread the word about the branch and the activities and support it provides.

The finishing line is in the Pinkie playing fields of Pinkie Primary School near Musselburgh. The first runners will probably cross the finishing line around 09.30am (It is an early start!).

Fergus, the son of one of our branch members, will be taking part in the half marathon to raise funds for the charity and in memory of his Mum. If you would like to sponsor him his Just Giving page is

Fergus Smith’s Edinburgh Half Marathon Challenge

If you would like to be at the finishing line to publicise the Branch please let Stuart Smith  know and your name will be passed to the events team so they can expect you.
