We received an invite to the launch of Dance Base’s new photographic exhibition, Dancing On. This may be more suited for anyone who participates in the Dance for Parkinson’s classes.
‘Dancing On’ will celebrate Dance Base’s work with older dancers and feature the stories and legacies of dancers from our Dance for Parkinson’s programme, Dance Base’s elder’s performance company PRIME, and 24 Carat, a community dance group for over 60s.
The launch event will include performances from PRIME, 24 Carat and a screening of Dance for Parkinson’s recent film, When We Dance. The audience will then be invited to view the exhibition, launching that day.
Date: Monday 04 November
Time: 16:30 – 17:30
Venue: Dance Base, Grassmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2JU
If you would like to attend the launch please email Emma Smith (emma.smith@dancebase.co.uk). Please confirm you are attached to Edinburgh Parkinson’s Branch.
The exhibition will run until the end of January, so there is a wider welcome for anyone who doesn’t currently attend the classes to attend the exhibition over the next few months.
