Allison Darbyshire, one of our Edinburgh Parkinson’s Nurses is retiring today (21st May 2021).
Patrick Mark, our Vice Chair was asked to write something for her card, and it was so lovely we felt we must share it with you all:
“Allison
It seems only yesterday that the Three Musketeers formed up in Conor’s secret garden in the Royal Victoria for a photograph in the sun.
So this is the end of an era where so much has been achieved by a great team working tirelessly for the benefit of the Parkinson’s community.
Thank you Allison for your part in this and for the help and support you have personally given to so many people.
And as you ride off into the sunset to enjoy a well-earned and I hope happy retirement I’m sure that the newly reformed team will continue the great work in the tradition which you have helped to establish.
