Lou Ogilvy, our volunteer Branch Fund-raiser had a very successful week-end with a can collection at Craigleith Shopping Centre on 14th and 15th September raising £1060 for Parkinson’s research. The event had to be postponed from a week-end in August due to flooding caused by torrential rain. Our thanks to Lou and her band of can-holding volunteers. Our first Branch Get-together in the 2019-2020 Calendar was a stimulating interactive session about the importance of self-care. The Branch organises numerous activities for people with Parkinson’s and their care-partners but exercise features strongly because of the research and anecdotal evidence of the beneficial effects.
