Alison Stewart (Lead Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist) asked us to update that their Service is unable to work to full capacity at this time. Alison confirms:
“We have extended sickness within the service and as a result, we are having to prioritise our workload.
The Telephone clinics may be closed on different days to allow us to prioritise for the face-to-face clinics although we may be forced to close some F2F clinics.
Please be assured we are taking all the steps that we possibly can to mitigate against staffing pressures’, but current gaps do mean that we have no option other than to prioritise our workload.
We appreciate your support and I will keep you informed”.
We also would ask that you are understanding of this situation and be mindful that the secretaries who answer the telephone must be treated with respect. They should not have to deal with aggressive or abusive callers.
