Ian plays new and old tunes with some of his friends, on traditional instruments of fiddle, guitar and whistle, as well as the less familiar viola, mandolin, and five-string banjo. Ian has written most of the tracks and a sheet of words is included to help get Ian’s stories across. But also included are a few well-known numbers like “Bonnie Dundee” and “Niel Gow’s Lament.” (And that is not a mis-spelling – NG insisted that his name was spelt Niel and not Neil).
Ian is generously sharing the proceeds of the CD between Parkinson’s UK Edinburgh Branch (a big thank-you from the Branch) and St. Columba’s Hospice.
The cost is £10.00 plus £2.00 p&p if purchased from Hon Branch Secretary, Olivia Bell, who can be contacted via 07594 481175 or honsec@edinburghparkinsons.org. We will also aim to have copies to sell at various Branch meetings and events in which case the cost is £10.
