Table Tennis

Organised and funded by the Edinburgh Young People with Parkinson’s Support Group, the group is open to anyone with Parkinson’s, no matter your age.

We meet weekly on Saturdays between 1 and 3pm at the North Merchiston Club in Watson Crescent, Edinburgh, EH11 1EP.

Why not come along and join us, and bring a friend or family member? It’s for all abilities, including complete beginners, and equipment will be provided. There is a charge of £3 per person per week ** (pay as you go).

Recently the group became affiliated with Table Tennis Scotland!  Well done to all involved organising  the group.

The Club is conveniently situated on the edge of the city centre, close to Fountainpark and adjoining Harrison Park East.

You can get there by bus and it is only a short walk from all of them:

Lothian Buses number 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 22, 25, 27, 30, 33, 34, 35, 44, 300.

There is free on-street car parking on a Saturday afternoon, with parking available in Watson Crescent and surrounding streets. If you don’t have a satnav try using this AA website, or search for North Merchiston Club  on Google Maps.

Access to the centre is from Watson Crescent, with a few steps up to the front door, and another few steps to the hall. A roller-ramp is available if you have difficulty with steps, so please let us know if that might be an issue for you. There’s a small café in the centre if you want to sit and have a coffee and a blether in between games.

If you are new to the sport here’s the link for keeping the score etc. But don’t worry, someone will be there to keep you right!

**  You can either pay by cash or pay by a donation to the Branch via our JustGiving page but please do not add Gift Aid as the Branch is not allowed to claim it where a service has been provided in relation to a donation. It would also help our Treasurer if you identified the activity as Table Tennis.
