Train the Trainer

  • Do you deliver in house training?
  • Would you like to expand your staff’s knowledge and ensure better care for people with Parkinson’s?
  • Why not work in partnership with the UK Parkinson’s Excellence Network!

What’s involved?

  • 10 hours online learning in Parkinson’s awareness, which must be completed prior to attending training days.
  • 2 days of in depth training on our ‘Parkinson’s Explored’ course, aimed at giving health & care sector trainers the opportunity to develop their own knowledge of Parkinson’s and then the necessary skills, confidence and resources to deliver the ‘Parkinson’s Explained’ workshop.
  • A full training pack to enable them to deliver the workshop ‘Parkinson’s Explained’ at their own workplace.

Accreditation

Participants will gain 2 credit points at level 2 validated by One Awards following completion and assessment. For NHS staff, the course is useful to support evidence for revalidation

The cost of attending will be £20; this £20 charge will cover the cost of registering with a participant with One Awards for accreditation and certification.

Places are very limited and we advise early booking to avoid disappointment.

The course will run in Edinburgh on 14th and 15th March 2017
