Side by Side with Parkinson’s

side-by-side-logoDo you know/live/work with someone with Parkinson’s? Would you like to know more about the professional help, drugs, benefits and the support that is available?
Read on. The course is free with refreshments provided. Help and support is available for transport and if respite is an issue this can be discussed with Cathie Quinn (see below). The course runs on Wednesday mornings from October 25th to November 22nd. See the Events Calendar for specific dates.

This Course will offer –

  • Information on the drugs that may be prescribed.
  • The role of the Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist
  • The role of the Information Support Workers and the help they can offer.
  • Multidisciplinary therapists, i.e. Speech, Physio and Occupational.

Venue: Pollock Pavilion, 227 Ferry Road, Edinburgh EH6 4SP
Time: 10.00 am for tea/coffee. Course 10.30 – 12.30.

The Pavilion has a car park. There is easy access to the premises, suitable for all mobilities. Lothian bus services 14 and 21 stop outside the Pavilion and the 11 and 7 routes are a few minutes walk away in Newhaven Road.
